The city plans to make $325,520 worth of water system improvements by applying for funding from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
“We have spent the last few months discussing our future and putting together the initial pieces of a new institutional strategic plan,” President Bob Ferrentino said.
The city has earmarked $8,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Hope Network’s paratransit service.
Jerry Hall, public works supervisor, said the old phone system couldn’t be repaired because replacement parts couldn’t be found.
In addition to tasting fine wines and beer, the event features hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and 50-50 drawing.
