Vane earlier admitted to killing Kathy Darling and Diane Holloway.
Russell Vane pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder with the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office agreeing to not prosecute him on six counts of criminal sexual conduct.
Detectives first visited Vane in Alabama in 2008 to interview him and collect DNA.
