Firefighters from two townships are responding to the scene.
Firefighters were called to the 2300 block of 30th Street SW just after 11 p.m. when a neighbor reported that the building may have been hit by lightning.
No charges have been filed against homeowner.
The fire was contained to the two-stall garage and an attached shed. One vehicle was damaged. The house did have smoke damage.
The woman refused medical treatment.
